The New Boracay (Day 2)

After some hiatus, I'm finally blogging about our day 2 in "The NEW Boracay". 😬 If you missed my blog about our day 1, here's the link.

Not gonna lie, this was a vacation where it literally meant resting & relaxing which I luuurved! 💕 Usual vacations (especially when it's air traveled) meant having a jam-packed itinerary. And thank God that this one was not any of it. 👍🏼

So on our 2nd day in Boracay, we started our day by heading for breakfast.

This is where we stayed by the way.

And we had our breakfast in its restaurant downstairs which is named "Pigout".

If I remember it completely, one of my friends mentioned that "Pigout" is one of the good restos in Boracay. Not the most recommended one though but it was, accordingly, one of the best.

Well, I for one love their food! Its taste, presentation and amount of serving is a thumbs up for me! I haven't recovered yet from our 1 ham/1 hotdog and a cup of rice breakfast we had for 3 days in Dumaguete. That's why having this kind of breakfast below is a game changer. LOL.

"Filipino" breakfast - garlic rice, sundried tapa, scrambled egg.
"Pigs n a Blanket" - buttermilk pancake, breakfast sausage, whipped butter, maple syrup.
This one's a personal fave of mine!
Then after breakfast, we decided to see the beach. And OMG, ANG GANDA TALAGA! Sobrang aliwalas! No lumot or what not! Just the serene beach!
😍😍😍

We were in Station 1 by the way, that's why the Grotto was just few walks away from our hotel.

Hello from us! Thank you girls for this trip! Missing you both! 💚

Testing the portrait mode of iPhone. Also, I'd like to thank you JR for taking care of us, the girls! ☺️
I also chanced upon playing with Snapchat's filter while in Boracay. Hence, this. 😍
It drizzled a little bit while we were hanging out in the beach. That's why decided to leave already and headed to D'Mall.

Since we wanted some fruit shakes, we then had some from Hungry Monkey. I suggested to try it here since this is owned by Gab's relatives. Hehe. Their shakes were ok lang. Huhu. I'm sorry but Jonah's is still the best! 😬

After so, we also decided to have an early lunch. And by the beach, we were lucky to see this kuya taho vendor. ☺️ Now, our balikbayan friends are so happy because they missed this! 💕

And guess where we had our early lunch?

In... Gerry's Grill! Parang ang sarap lang kasi kumain ng ihaw-ihaw for lunch. Yum! 😬

After our sumptuous lunch, we just bummed and swam in the beach. 😬

The whole afternoon, we just slept. And I absolutely loved it! Sobrang chill.. walang hinahabol na itinerary.. oh peace! Hehe.

Then when we woke up, we just waited for sun down and had some cocktails that night by the beach.

Yes, there are still restos in Boracay which offers alcoholic drinks. Not literally by the sand lang like before. ☺️

And look who joined us?! It's my office friend - EJ. And this is the second time na nagkasabay kami ng travel dates in one destination. Amazing hindi ba?  😬

We had fun chilling out that night here in this acoustic place, Pat's (Creek Bar) in Boracay. Ok naman yung acoustic performers, good enough para mapa-kanta ka. Hihi, I personally didn't like their cocktails lang. Sobrang tapang kasi. Haha. Thanks to JR who finished our drinks! Nasulit naman ang bayad kahit papano. Hehe.

After so, we called it a night. The next day, we planned to do some island hopping. And find out what happened next, in my next blog. See you there and you for reading!

Mwahs,
Dona
