Breakfast At Balay Dako

One Saturday morning, I and my highschool friends planned to go to Tagaytay City, as part of our bonding slash welcoming back our friend who came home from the U.S. Also, to purposely have breakfast there. :D

Balay Dako was the choice of our go-to-breakfast place that day and thank God for having a foodie/traveler friend because she's the one who took charge of almost everything. (Hi Jas! If you're reading this, please know that I'm talking about you. Hehe.<3)

Moving on, we met at past 5AM in Mandaluyong City. And we really planned to leave this early since we've heard that the queue for breakfast in Balay Dako at 9AM is usually full. Since it's already opened by 7AM, we targeted to be there at around that time. Also, may I note that reservations there are no longer accommodated. Meaning, it's a first come, first served basis there. So, kebs if we all lacked of sleep. And therefore, hello from our morning faces! Haha.

Here's our first snap for the day. (Thanks, Jas for the free Starbucks drink & food! :*)
Hello, Balay Dako! <3

Group picture while Justin is away/busy. Haha.

Here was my food: (L-R) Omelet, Taho, Beef Tapa, Corned Beef, Pandesal, Bacon, Danggit & Daing Na Bangus. Oh! I forgot to take a picture of their yummy hot chocolate, which is a must try! Too bad.

Yay! Justin's back! Haha.

Picture with our balikbayan friend, Joma starts here. Hihi. :)

(Kamusta naman ang pag-straight body! Haha.)

GURRRLLLSSS! <3

And "more pic"! Hahaha.

Hello there couple! ;)

Now, let me share the beauty of the place. And sorry if these are only a few. Some areas are still closed though, by the time that we went. And they only open it during lunch time I think.

Since the place has the perfect spot to view the Taal Volcano, of course we didn't miss to have a picture with it! Yay! :D

Proof that it was windy that time! Lels.

Some more pictures before leaving the place. :)

Thank you guys for the uber fun bonding! <3<3<3 Naramdaman ko talaga yung food crawl natin in Tagaytay that day. Haha. And of course, thank you so much, Sadya for the treat! :* OMG. I'm still #SepAnx until now. Gah!

P.S. I'm going to write a separate blog about our Puzzle Mansion & Charito (by Bag of Beans) experience. Hihi.

Lastly, here are some facts about Balay Dako:

It's one of the restaurants by the Antonio's Group (Sounds familiar? Yes, it's the same group who owns Breakfast At Antonio's). And "BALAY DAKO is the latest Filipino Restaurant by Chef Tony Boy Escalante serving Filipino comfort dishes and classic Tagaytay food. It's name means "Big House" in Negresense, and refers to the gathering place of Filipino families for milestone celebrations and other special occasions."

And if you're wondering where it's currently situated, here are their whereabouts:

Tagaytay-Nagsugbu Highway, Tagaytay City
(Besides Leslie's and Max's across Magallanes Square in Tagaytay)
