Of Baguio And Highschool Friends (Day 1)

Font was written by my artist husband. 💚

Last December 21 to 23, 2021, my husband and I we went to Baguio City with our highschool friends. We headed to Baguio at past 12AM, then we arrived there at 4AM-ish. Thanks to my husband's superb driving skills! We didn't feel that we were on the road for 4 hours already. Wuhoo!

During the time that we visited Baguio, they were pretty strict with tourists. They required tourists to have a QTP (QR-coded Tourist Pass) before entering their city and all the like. It was strictly "No QTP, no entry". And regarding the OTP, we obtained it through visita.baguio.gov.ph

Here are the processes that we went through upon our arrival in Baguio.

First stop: Checkpoint

Before entering the city proper, there's a checkpoint that we needed to go to. We parked our car there and had our QTPs checked.

Second stop: Baguio Country Club

Another checking of our QTPs has been done with us being interviewed one by one. Thank God that we had no issues with the interview and our QTPs. What a relief! Haha.

Interview area. Haha. Sorry, I forgot what this was called actually.

Here's a photo of us after we have been interrogated and it was so cold during this time. Hindi lang halata. 😅

Then off we went to Holiday Inn where we will be staying for 2 nights. We tried to check if we can do early check-in. And guess what? All rooms are still occupied. LOL. Of course, it was expected. That's why we decided to just go to Good Taste for breakfast. We just rode a taxi to get there and parked our car at the hotel.

Newly weds in front of Holiday Inn. Hihi. 💚

Hello, Good Taste!

Good Taste's Garlic Butter Chicken and Chopsuey, ladies and gentlemen.

And 1 hot chocolate for me. Yay!

After eating in Good Taste, we visited Burnham Park.

While chilling in Burnham Park, I taught my husband some iPhone photography hacks. JK! The truth is, I taught him how to use the Portrait feature of iPhone.

Lakad-lakad sa Burnham Park and here's a stolen photo of me joking around. Haha.

Cute truck coffee shop! 😍

Time check: 8:51AM. Ang tagal pa ng 2PM na check-in time. Hahaha. If we didn't leave our houses early going here in Baguio, sure na mag-aantay kami sa checkpoint ng matagal. Plus, super traffic ang aabutin namin. Sayang sa gas. Kaya this waiting is much better. Haha. May mga na-visit pa kami na places kahit wala kaming tulog. Hehehe.

To kill time more time, we decided to go to SM Baguio and we just walked going there from Burnham Park.

Merry Christmas by the way! 🎄

Heck, it was a pretty long walk uphill. Sobrang nakakahingal with our masks on.

But we made it! Yey!

Ugh. My husband is so gwapo naman! Hihi. 😍

With our highschool barkada. Waiting game until SM opens.

Hello, SM Baguio! It's nice to see you again after 5 months. Haha.

As for me and Kelly, we went here in SM so he could buy socks. Hehehe. The socks that he was wearing were too short and he got blisters because of it. Wawa my asawa. ☹️

Upon checking shopping socks, we saw this Bulbasaur socks! Hehe. Super cuuute!

Waiting for our friends to finish their errands here.

Time check: 14:20 and we're checked-in at the hotel already. Yey yey yey! We're so excited to sleep and rest. Haha.

Taking a picture of this in case we want to order something from the cafe.

Fast forward to everything - we checked-in, took a bath and slept. I didn't take any photos during these times because I was so dead tired already. Haha.

And as I end this post, let me share a photo of Baguio City that evening.

That's it for now.

Cheers!
Dona
