Team Siargao (Day 2)

Day 2 in Siargao, here we go! ☺️

We started our day by having a breakfast in Kermit. I was pretty excited to eat then since breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Hehehe. Plus we're having it in one of Siargao's famous restaurants - Kermit. I'm not going to post a long intro anymore. So just scroll down to hear about our day 2 in the surfing capital of the Philippines. 😬

So.. here's the "Siargao Crew" making their way to Kermit restaurant. 😊

Good morning, Kermit restaurant!

Meanwhile, my sister is LOL-ing over a video that she and her boyfriend was watching. 😜

And a few minutes after ordering, our food's finally here! This is Kermit's Chorizo Rice and Egg. I requested the egg to be scrambled though.

Wala lang, I love this embossed table napkin. Hehe.

There was a doggo going around and he looked hungry. That's why we gave him some food. Hihi.

We went back to our house after eating, since we'll be doing an island hopping in a while.

I took some pictures of Kermit's Chill Out area and restaurant while waiting for our companions in island hopping.

Then finally! Our island hopping will start in 3.. 2.. 1..

We booked our island hopping with Kermit which is P1,000 per person that includes everything - tricycle ride going to the port (back & forth); the island hopping itself and a sumptuous lunch!

THOUGHTS: P1,000 seems to be expensive, and actually.. that was my initial thought. Was it worth it? Some kinda. Hehe. If you're patient enough to look for cheaper island hopping rate in Siargao, there is actually. And it costs around P700-P800 if I'm not mistaken. I found some tours along Cloud 9 which offers this rate. But for our case, we gave the P1,000/head a go, since Kermit is one of the most recommended tours in Siargao.

We were 20 in the group, mixed of foreigners and Filipinos.

We were in 2 boats. And we decided to be in the smaller one since it can only fit 5 persons which is exactly us. The other group was in the bigger and higher boat though. Hehe.

A few minutes after, the island hopping has finally started! Yeyyy!

What you would do for the gram. πŸ˜‚ Big waves? No problem! Isang plywood lang katapat nyan! Hahaha.

This looked like Cloud 9's huge Nipa hut but it wasn't. Apparently, this is a sanctuary according to our boatmen.

Our first stop was at Naked Island. And it took us 15 minutes from the port to get here. Pretty short boat ride huh?

We swam here and took some pictures of course.

Naked Island is just a very small island yet there's a sandbar in it. Love it anywayyy! πŸ’•

Last picture of the place before we went to the next island. By the way, we were only given 30 minutes to enjoy this island. It was so shorttt! Bitin talaga! Huhu. Oh well.. that's how island hopping normally goes.

The next island we went to is - Daku Island

And this is where we'll be having lunch. We were told that we'll be staying longer here. So, yayyy!

Daku Island is said to be the most beautiful island among the 3 islands that are included in our package.

And I must agree. ☺️

After putting our stuff in the cabana, we immediately dipped in this beautiful beach.

I and my colleague/friend, EJ wanted exactly this kind of picture but the waves were pretty strong. Haha.

SHORT KWENTO: Originally, EJ and her boyfriend were set to go to Siargao last January 2018 but because of some weather changes, their flight got cancelled. They had no choice but to rebook their flight (for free of course). Then after EJ has rebooked their flight, she surprisingly found out that me and my family is also traveling to Siargao on their chosen date. Thus, we spent our vacay in Siargao together! Yeyyy! I must say that our trip here was something that I really enjoyed! πŸ’š

Going back.. dami naming bloopers! Hahaha. Thanks to EJ's boyfriend for capturing these moments! πŸ’š

Meanwhile, ito po yung pinagkaka-abalahan ng boyfriend ko. Naglalaro na naman sya mag-isa. Hahaha. Love you, Gababs!

EJ and the love of her life + the beautiful Daku Island.
J A W D R O P P I N G.

Hello from our cabana and from this mabait and wafu na afam. Hehe.

Some Abbey Sy's postcards again featuring Daku Island.

More chill time in Daku Island. We were supposed to stay here for 2 hours only. But that became 3 hours eventually. Hehe.

And I obviously enjoyed that extension. Heeha!

Dona, Gab and Don.

After an hour (or more than an hour I think), our lunch has been finally served! Hihi.

THOUGHTS: We were told that our food will be cooked in approximately 40 minutes but it actually took longer. If we were all hungry during this time, it would have been a major problem to the organizers. You know what they say, you don't want to talk to a hungry person. LOL. Lucky for the organizers anyway that we weren't hungry (or not that I know of?) Anyhoo, EJ and I just thought that Kermit's tours aren't 5 stars at all. I mean.. there's no doubt that their lunch was very yummy! But based from our previous travels, island lunch are usually served in a matter of 10-15 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining.. I'm just sharing what we experienced in our trip. Well, maybe.. we were just too early in Daku Island. Or maybe.. we were just in a big group that's why our lunch wasn't pre-prepared yet when we arrived. 😊Come on, Dona! Haha.

Moving on.. there's the veggie kebab, grilled liempo and fish, Siargao's Calamari version (I forgot what they call it. Sorry..), fruits, rice, softdrinks and water for our lunch. They even served some alcoholic drinks before we ate lunch. That was Alfonso or Emperador that they served, I think.

After eating, we found some doggos again, in the island. And look at this one! Hihi. 😍Only.. we noticed that this pup was a little weak compared to the other dogs in the island. That's why we some kind of medicated him by giving him a Biogesic. Not all of it though, just some of it. We mixed it with water and had him take it. Then a few minutes after, we found him running and playing already. Hihi. Life hacks! Thanks, Mama! πŸ’š
Fast forward.. more pictures in appreciation of Daku Island. πŸ’•

Here was our group by the way. πŸ’•Engaging in a chat with them was crazy, fun and hard. Hard kasi english mode on ka dapat. Hahaha. I enjoyed it though!

Then look at this. AREN'T THEY CUTE?! 😍
Our 3rd and last stop was at Guyam Island.

Daming coconut trees! 😍Which I looove!

It was just a small island as well, that it reminded me of Potipot Island in Zambales. But this one's a lot better, whiter sand, more trees.. plus there are these "mini swimming pools" in it. Hehehe. 😬

It was super relaxing to swim here! Hihi.

We didn't stay that long, parang mga 20-30 minutes lang yata kami. 'Coz motherbells was in a hurry, can't remember why. Haha.

Back to the port with this stunning view! 😍

Had to wait for the other group before we head back to our hotel.

When we got back to our hotel, we just used the restroom, dumped our stuff there and hurriedly went to Cloud 9 to witness the sunset. And it was just sooo beautiful that day! A must in Siargao, REALLY!

What a beautiful sight! 😍

Grabe, Lord. Thank You for this day! ❤️

When night finally came in, we stumbled upon this really artsy shop. Talagang pinag-isipan lahat ng tinitinda ni kuya artist dito. πŸ™ŒπŸΌHope you can check this out also in your future Siargao trip. Hihi.

Then we decided to have dinner in Harana.

Wala lang, ang ganda lang ng throw pillows nila. Haha.

Fckn beautiful murals. 😍

Another doggo found! Hihi. Daming dogs sa Siargao! Nakakatuwaaa! 😬

Harana's famous dessert - PBJ (Peanut Butter Jelly) Turon. Pero walang jelly, okay? Haha.

Tapos.. ay shocks.. wala na naman pala akong picture ng mga pagkain? Kamote. I owe you them! Let me ask my mummah about it. Hihi.

We called it a day by having a bottle of beer before going to sleep. At yung itsura ko please parang gusto na lang bumagsak sa kama. Hahaha.

No more pictures to be shared because wala na talaga. See you on my next blog post then! Thank you so much for reading!
