Ni Hao, Taiwan! (Day 4)

Ni hao! I'm back for the last leg of our Taiwan trip which will just be about our journey way back home. Hehe.

If you missed reading my previous Taiwan blogs, kindly click the links below:

Our flight back to Manila was at 09:55AM. And that meant being at the airport 3-4 hours before our flight. Skeptic that Lyle and I were, we made sure to leave super early from the hotel. And this was our flight plan:

05:30 AM - pick-up from the hotel
05:30 AM to 07:00 AM - travel time from the hotel to the airport
07:00 AM to 09:55 AM - checking-in - immigration - breakfast - boarding

In case you're wondering where we've booked our airport transfer, it's nowhere else but through Klook(Saan pa ba? Haha.)

Being picked-up at 05:30 made us pay more because usually, Klook's earliest airport transfer is at 06:00 AM.

Never mind the extra charge, all we wanted was a sure way of being early at the airport.

Like what we've planned, we checked out our respective rooms at 5:15AM and from there, we just lounged at the lobby and waited for our van to arrive.

And while waiting, we decided to take last pictures at our hotel's area in Ximending before we left.

Missing this place already. Hihi. Never been to any of Taipei hotels yet, but this is already my favorite! 💕

After 30 minutes of drive, we are at the airport already.

Beshie, ang sarap bumyahe sa Taipei, ang lawak ng mga kalsada and parang steady 100 yung speed namin all the time. Haha. Pero ang swabe! 👍🏼

May I just share also the little hassle we had about booking a van transfer from Klook.

Since it was our first time to book a van transfer from them, we totally had no idea how we'd know if our van is already at the hotel on the day of our departure. I'm not sure if it's just us who always wants a confirmation at least a night before. But, to really make sure that we will be fetched from the hotel, I and Lyle had to ask our hotel receptionist to help us call the Klook Taiwan hotline to stop all our worries. Thank, God that the hotel receptionists were very helpful in spite of our language barrier. And after the call, that's the only time where we got a confirmation from Klook that we will be fetched.

By the way, don't get me wrong.. after we booked this service from Klook, we instantly got a confirmation that we've successfully booked a van. What we were just looking for is another confirmation that we will be really fetched. 😬

Sooo, Klook? Do we really have to call first or once we book, that's it already. No more next confirmations? :)

Anyway highway, enough with my short stories, let's have a look now at the Taoyuan Airport:

Lyke's milk tea in a box. Hihi.

These girls kept on running back & forth of the airport and we figured that they're a fan of some Korean artist. Hihi.

Not sure about you but I find our passport really beautiful. Hihi.

This is ittt! Hello, Manila in a bit!

One unique trait of Taiwan airport is that they would require you to check your check-in luggage pass the x-ray before you head to the immigration area. 👍🏼

After all our luggages have passed the x-ray, we are lining up now for the immigration. Yey!

And of course, we passed the immigration!

Okayyy, so here are some of the things that I love about Taiwan airport:

1.) There are praying areas near the departure gates. If you are a Muslim, Buddhist or Christian, there's a designated praying area for you. 😇

2. These plants. Hihi.

3.) There are free massage chairs for 10-15 minutes? I cannot remember anymore, sorry. You just have to ask for its tokens at Counter 4/Information area.

4.) These random stickers at this IDK what table. Haha.

5.) Free water.

(Yeah, I know, meron daw sa airport satin sa Pinas na hindi ko pa kasi natatry. Hahaha. Hi sa mga office friends kong bashers! LOL.)

And this is where my post ends now.

My Captain America tumbler from Petron. LOL.

And this point & shoot film camera c/o my sisturrr.

Also, in case you didn't know, you can park your car for a number of nights in NAIA 3. And it's only P350.00 per night. My family was a loyal customer of Park 'N Fly. And after years of travelling, we only found about this one just recently. Bummerrr! Haha. Nakakainis. Sayang all the money we've spent before in Park 'N Fly. But it was pure good years with them! They're always on time and their drivers are super nice! Mahal lang kasi talaga.

And this is us at the elevator going to NAIA Parking Lot.

DAY 4 EXPENSES:

371.16 - per head, airport van transfer

TOTAL: 371.16

(Sorry, I didn't spend any more penny during this day because I'm saving my last moolah for my Grab back home. Haha.)

Thank you so much for reading! Hope you can soon visit Taiwan too if you haven't.

Wo Ai Ni,
